The residence located in Vieux Carre, 912 Dauphine Street, New Orleans, LA is proof that diminutive scale can be demanding. This project involved the restoration of the facade’s gable end, and the only data that was available at the start was a circa 1950 photograph hinting at floral patterns.The residence located in Vieux Carre, 912 Dauphine Street, New Orleans, LA is proof that diminutive scale can be demanding. This project involved the restoration of the facade’s gable end, and the only data that was available at the start was a circa 1950 photograph hinting at floral patterns.The collages were then segmented into manageable sections and then traced in CAD. Drawings at actual size became the templates for a three year long wood working endeavor.The result is satisfying beyond words.
